Celebrate Bayou Pigeon Heritage Day

We are proud  to announce 

that Iberville  Parish is celebrating  with us 

Bayou  Pigeon Heritage Association

Inaugural Annual  Meeting 

Feb. 28, 2020 2 pm - till

at  our  

Heritage  Hall

The primary purpose of this  event is to bring together  ‘Friends  of  Bayou  Pigeon”  in this hallowed venue to understand the issues facing our Association  in  preserving  the  ‘Heritage Of And Improving  The  Future  Of  Bayou  Pigeon As  A  Community.’

We  are  celebrating the signing of a long-term lease with   the  landowner, A. Wilbert’s Sons  LLC  and taking ownership of the structures  of the former  St  Joan  of  Arc Catholic  Church  complex,  donated to our  Association by the  Catholic Diocese  of  Baton  Rouge. 

This event will take place inside the  Bayou  Pigeon Heritage  Hall.  Displays on the  History & Heritage  of  Bayou  Pigeon will be presented.

All members  and the general public are invited to  come celebrate  with us and review or Master Plans and future  activities for these facilities.

Door  prizes will be awarded... award-winning books, ‘Bayou  Pigeon, LA.,  Spirit of the  Atchafalaya”  and  follow up  book,  “Heritage of the  Atchafalaya”, as well  as  copies  of the book “Michel Family  of  Bayou  Pigeon”  will be  awarded. 

Illustrations  of  Bayou  Pigeon History  by  Stan  Routh will be on sale, with  all proceeds going to the BPHA.
